How to measure your radiator, condenser, or heater core
A radiator, A/C condenser, or heater core has to match by core size, not just year, make, and model. The same truck shipped with several different cores. Measure these five things and the exact part is easy to pin.
1. Core width
Left to right across the finned core only, not the side tanks or brackets.
2. Core height
Top to bottom of the finned core only.
3. Core thickness
Front to back depth of the core. This sets 1-row versus 2-row.
4. Inlet / outlet
Hose neck diameters, and which corner each one sits on.
5. Cooler / drier
Radiator: any internal transmission cooler (extra fittings)? Condenser: integrated receiver-drier?
Measure the CORE, not the overall size. Tanks and mounting feet vary; the finned core is what has to match. Have your numbers? Find a part by size › or call (606) 561-4424 and read them to us.
